Vulnerability Assessment
Cyber Security Services
The vulnerability assessment is a systematic review of security weaknesses in an information system. It assesses whether the system is sensitive to any known vulnerabilities, assigns severity levels to these vulnerabilities, and recommends remediation or mitigation, if and when needed.
There are several types of vulnerability assessments. These include:
Host assessment – The evaluation of critical servers, which may be vulnerable to attack if they have not been adequately tested.
Network and wireless assessment – Evaluation of policies and practices to prevent unauthorized access to private or public networks and resources accessible to the network.
Database assessment – The evaluation of databases or big data systems for vulnerabilities and incorrect settings
Application scans – The detection of security vulnerabilities in web and mobile applications
